It’s officially a week out from Valentine’s Day, so it’s time to get serious about the gifts. If you’re on a budget or want to try something new I recommend a gift challenge for you and your partner. My now-husband and I have done this challenge last two years.

How to Play
1. Choose a location
We always do ours at Target because we know the layout and there’s a plethora of options. However you could do this anywhere, Walmart, the mall, Five Below, honestly even a farmer’s market with unique vendors.
2. Set some rules
Your rules can be anything you want them to be. There could be a cost limit, a limit on time in the store, or even categories. For those categories think of choosing a specific color, something on a particular theme (think cozy, games, or snacks) anything else you can think of.
3. Find the gifts and exchange
Set a date and time to do the challenge and have fun!
