It’s been a while since I’ve written here, and I’ve honestly missed it but also I’ve been plagued with writer’s block. It’s been a weird past couple of months. I’ve felt like I’ve been racing with zero clue of when or where the finish line was, it’s been hard. But, it’s also made me want to think about what this blog is going to be moving forward. I started this blog when I was 17 and a freshman in college, now I’m soon to be 25, graduated, and married. I’m not the same person I was then, but I still love writing.
With that in mind, this space and the content coming from it might be a little different. Maybe, more reflective, more centered on whatever my current interests, all of that. And posting may not be as consistent during this time as I determine which direction to take.
However, there are a few things you can count on: I will continue to talk about books and what I’m reading, you will always get a random pop culture/social commentary analysis out of me, and I will work to maintain this space as a fun, safe space for the awkward, talented black women that I’ve always wanted to reach.
