So, I finally tried what I consider Lush’s most popular mask after a year of being a little nervous to. Every review I’ve read said that this mask was a little drying, but after a trip to Lush in dire need of some recommendations. I picked up the self preserving version of the mask and decided to go for it. So… here are my thoughts.
First let’s get the bad out of the way, my skin felt kind of dry after using it, which was upsetting because I got the self preserving for the added honey, since my skin tends to be on the drier end of the spectrum, but it definitely could’ve been worse. However, for the good. It worked so well, my skin looked so much better I was obsessed. I went into Lush looking for a cleansing mask because my skin was angry with me and I definitely left happy with that aspect and the drying was not so bad that I wouldn’t use it again.
All in all, the product is definitely worth checking out and I’d definitely buy it again. What’s your favorite clay mask? What should I try next? Let me know in the comments!

I absolutely love this mask! Was so sad when my tub ran out. I bought the natural one rather than the self preserving one. I actually think next time I’ll go for the one that will last me longer.
Love this post! I really want to try out some of the body shop masks, hav and you ever tried them before?x
No I haven’t. I’ll definitely check them out
While I love LUSH branding, I find that the products aren’t the best for me. Or at least the ones I’ve tried. I always like to hear what other people are buying and what they think. Perhaps I’ll give this mask a shot – thanks for the review!

There’s a Lush store near the place where I live but I never had a chance to try anything from there. I guess I should- I’ve heard so many good things about this brand 🙂
I haven’t tried any of their masks, I’m a bit concerned about the dry feel. Great post!
Thanks! They will test the masks on your hand and they have some very moisturizing ones too. I have some other posts if you go to the skincare category of my archive or you can head to your local lush!
I do love me some lush products! I have slightly dry skin too, but my skin gets angry at me sometimes, so it’s good to know this is a good option for that!
I’ve never tried any other claymask except for the Aztec clay but i might just try this one now!
Oh I love lush! I will have to check this out now.
I never tried this mask but after reading this I feel this mask is good for my skin because my skin is a little oily.
It’s definitely a great pick for oily skin
This is one of my favorite products from LUSH, I absolutely love it, and I am so glad to hear that you loved it too!
I haven’t tried this one as yet, but perhaps I’ll pick up a tub. I am in a try every face mask/scrub I can find mood.
I usually get the cupcake mask. Next time I will have to give this one a try. Thanks for the info.
Ooh I haven’t tried that one yet
I love clay masks. This sounds like a great one for pampering yourself. I’m glad you had such good results!
I’ve never actually tried anything from Lush, but I’ve been in the market for a really good cleansing mask for a while now, so I might have a reason to stop in there now…Thanks for the review!
I used some of their bath bombs and lip scrubs and so far I liked them. Never tried a mask though, so I might check this one out. xoxo
I really enjoy the lip scrubs too!
Masks are so fun! I like making my own with kaolin and bentonite clay – saves a lot of money too 🙂
Hmm, I’m getting onto lush products but I’ve never tried this. I shall have a look out for this next time o go into lush.Sounds promising.
