It’s Thanksgiving Eve (is that a thing) and that means it’s almost time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While I’m personally planning to use the deals to find some items for my pre-wedding events, I wanted to share a couple of my favorite black-owned businesses to shop from to help you shop black this holiday season
Bath

I love self-care, whether its taking time to do a body scrub and follow up with a body butter or taking a bubble bath. I recently partnered with a black owned brand, Ancient Cosmeticz, with amazing body scrubs and butters. Other brands I love include Shea Makery and Bath Thyme bakery specifically for shower steam tablets and unique bath bombs.
Candles
Unfortunately, my favorite black-owned candle maker closed shop earlier this year. However, a friend of mine recommended a few other candles from Pretty Honest to me that I’ll definitely be checking out soon.
Accessories

I got the cutest anklet from the brand Ajebutta Details. Her jewelry is super affordable but cute and very high quality. I can’t wait to get something else!
Skin Care, Hair, & Beauty
Beauty is one of the easiest ways to support a black business. When it comes to skincare I trust the professionals so I like to buy from estheticians. My two favorites are from Delish Condish and Beauty Strike.
I also got my first pair of real lashes from the brand Lash Pharmacy. I wore them for my birthday last year!
Last, like I mentioned in my recent hair update I often use TGIN, Camille Rose, and Briogeo products which are all black-owned.
Nails
OOOPolish is in an amazing brand with great gel and regular nail polishes and an incredible amount of shades.
Honorary Mentions:
Food & Drink
These aren’t necessarily related and probable don’t make the best gifts but I wanted to include them: Uncle Nearest Whiskey, Jon Basil Tequila, and Dozen Cousins Beans are still my obsessions.
Semicolon Books in Chicago

This bookstore is so cute I dedicated a whole blog post to it last year.
Honey Pot Pads
Need I say more? Honey Pot Pads are probably one of the best known black owned brands out there and the herbal pads do actually soothe.
Grounded
These plants might actually be a good gift? I got my snake plant from this brand and I regret nothing.
