There are things that I personally think should be in every apartment, they aren’t all “essentials” but we all have our opinions.

Step Stool
You’re going to need a step stool. Even when you think you’ll place everything in easy reach you’re definitely going to shove some coats at the top of the closet in the winter or store something at the top of the cabinet. Get this folding one on Amazon,
Tool Kit
Another thing I feel like is forgotten when you’re distracted by buying sheets and furniture and all the fun things. You need a toolkit I don’t care how much stuff you’re buying with the tools to make it included. I have this one from Target.
Kettle
If you’re on Twitter you may have seen the kettle wars, but an electric kettle is super useful especially when you love tea. I have this one from Target.
Lots of Throws
I love blankets, and leaving them around the apartment. When you’re watching TV or reading a book it’s great to have one to throw over you no matter where you are.
Games
You need games, preferably a mix of ones you can play alone or with others. Some of my favorites include Uno, Black Card Revoked, The Game of Life, and a plain deck of cards to play solitaire with.
A Self-Care Kit
The self-care kit is really a mix of things like candles, face masks, bubble bath/bath bombs, body butters. All the things you need to pamper yourself.
