Happy Halloween! This is my first Halloween post in about two years, but I thought 2020 was as good a year as any to give some ideas to give some ideas for a spooky celebration.
Catch a Movie

Watching movies is always a great choice to celebrate nearly every holiday, but Halloween is special because it is truly a holiday with a little bit for everyone. As a Zillennial (that fun generational overlap between Millenials and Gen Z) I am partial to the Disney Channel staples like the Twitches series, Hocus Pocus, and Halloweentown series , however I also love the cult classic film The Craft. 31 Days of Halloween is also a great choice if you haven’t cut the cord just yet.
Make a Halloween Treat
I love my crafts and goodies to be simple, but this could be something fun to do with a roommate, significant other, or on a Zoom party with friends. Whip up your best Halloween treat and have a contest on who’s the coolest, most original, or tastiest (if its in person). Some of the cutest ideas I’ve come across include these cute cupcakes, ghost popcorn balls, marshmallow pops, bloody s’mores, coffin sandwiches, or mummy cookies.
Host a Costume Contest
Since the pandemic is not over, I recommend this is done virtually, but I think a costume contest is a great way to celebrate the holiday. I’ll even give you a headstart by sharing my favorite black cosplayer with you, Kiera Please.
Make a Halloween Drink

For the over 21 crowd, a similar idea to the sweet treats, these could be done alone, via Zoom party, with a roommate, or a significant other. I think these drinks are super cute and could lead to some super spooky fun. Recipes like this boozy milkshake or sparkly apple cocktail seem like fun places to start.
Do you have any ideas for how you will spend Halloween 2020? Let me know in the comments!

All these activities sound so fun for Halloween this year! I love the idea of making a unique cocktail or treat and then sitting down to watch Hocus Pocus. Great way to celebrate!
