I follow a lot of beauty related accounts on social media, especially Twitter. So when I saw @LaBeautyologist discussing chemical exfoliation versus physical exfoliation I got curious. I don’t have major skin concerns, but the texture of my skin troubles me, so I decided to give one a try. The issue is I was broke, and all the products I found were not exactly college student friendly. But, I stumbled across one product First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Pads and decided that this may be what I was searching for.

When I initially tried the product the first thing I noticed was the smell, it wasn’t gross but it smelt like chemicals, which wasn’t surprising. I understood this wasn’t a face mask and that I was going to have to try this multiple times before I saw any results, but after around 2-3 weeks, and only using the pads maybe twice to three times a week both myself and my friends saw a change in the texture of my skin. I had noticed that after some time of washing my face with a physical exfoliant and that it was doing more harm than good and that I wasn’t having issues with my skin with this product and that I was happier with it than I had been using an extremely abrasive Lush product.
I went back and tried it after a breakout and I promise you that this product definitely works wonders for me. Even if you don’t get this specific one I promise you that chemical exfoliation is my new wave.
I got 28 of these face pads at Sephora for $15, but a container of 60 is $30. Just one note, I’m no esthetician or dermatologist but these pads worked for me. How do you exfoliate? Let me know in the comments!

I’ve ajways wanted to try one of these but there are so many to choose from I wasn’t sure which one to try. After reading your recommendation I’m going to give it a go!
I definitely thing you should! It was hard to choose one too honestly but this one was affordable and it definitely works for me!
I’ll have to try this!
I’ve been looking for alternative exfoliants so I’m interested to try this!
I definitely recommend it!
Thank you for sharing . I am always hesitant about trying new products since I have sensitive skin. Saved article.
Thanks for reading!
I have tried Neo Strata’s Skin Renewal Peel before – 20% glycolic acid (AHA) it certainly exfoliated my skin and improved its appearance but I wasn’t sold on the chemical formula. I recently adopted Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Glycolic Brightening Mask. The natural mask gives me the same results and is safe on my skin. Our skin is our largest organ and what we put on it is so important because it’s only absorbed into our system.
Interesting I might check that mask out!
This is so interesting because I have alway been curious about these. I just haven’t had the chance to try one.

I’ll definitely give these a try. Heading to YouTube to see more reviews on it ☺️ Thank you so much for your review on this product
No problem 💕
I don’t usually exfoliate but I will look into these.
With a sensitive skin, you should be extra careful about selecting any product. So always referring blogs to see ratings and experiences…this one is surely on my saved list.
Thanks! I hope you find something for you
