Glossier: Is It Worth It?

So I’ve been intrigued my Glossier for about a year but I had no idea which products to buy and then last month Jackie Aina dropped a video with a full face of their products and I finally had the answers I was looking for. I decided to try the Wowder, the Cloud Paint, Boy Brow, the Stretch Concealer, and the Generation G lipstick. I’m going to provide a link (no it’s not an affiliate link) to all the products so you can check them out for yourself!

Wowder is cool. The more I use it the more I love it. I put it all over my face because when it’s warm out (I like this makeup for the spring and summer) I can glisten a little bit and this keeps me from looking ugly and sweaty and more glowy and dewy. I’m not lying to you the texture of this does NOT feel like a powder it’s much softer and I loved it.

The Cloud Paint is a liquid blush that is honestly amazing. It goes on somewhat sheer but it still gives such a beautiful look to my cheeks that I definitely support. I loved this so much I honestly might get the duo next time to try the berry looking shade. I got the product in the shade Beam.

When I first tried the Stretch Concealer I honestly wasn’t a fan, but I don’t like to go off my first impressions of make up (mostly because I use everything wrong) so I kept trying it and now I am honestly in love. It’s not Nars Creamy Radiant, it’s just cool for a no make up make up look and I think it adds dimension to my face.

Boy Brow is fantastic! the second time I used it I actually saw the hype. I was sold because I also saw this on Beyonce’s face and, well, you all know how I feel about MY president Beyonce. It takes a learning curve, I still haven’t mastered it but it feels in my sparse sections on my brows without having to make them “on fleek” (are we still saying that?).

The Generation G lipstick is cool but I wouldn’t buy it again, I got it in the shade “Cake.” I honestly got it because I wanted to try Boy Brow and the concealer and it came in the cute “Phase 2” set that intrigued me. It doesn’t do enough for me, the color pay off is decent for under a lipstick if you like a specific color for your lips when they have clear gloss on, but is that really worth the price?

But I know you all want to know if it’d worth it and that’s honestly complicated to answer. I like the makeup best without foundation for sure. In the picture below I’m wearing all my products for a no make up make up look and I was absolutely in love. The gloss is a the Mac clear gloss and I bronzed with a Mac powder that no longer has it’s identifying sticker (my apologies). I also have on a sheered out liquid highlight from Benefit, Sunbeam.

Have you tried Glossier? What did you think? Do you rock no makeup makeup? What products do you use? Do you have another makeup brand you’d like for me to review? Let me know below in the comments!

ps: I used an actual Glossier representative’s code I found on Twitter for 20% off my purchase. So shout out to the Glossier rep that hopped in one of my mutuals DMs for saving me money.
