Syd’s Hair Must-haves

In the year since I went natural I’ve been trying out new things on my hair and I’m finally learning what my hair likes. While I’m still no expert, and I’m always down for suggestions I do have some products I love. So these are my favorite natural hair products & tools:

CANTU COCONUT CURLING CREAMimg_8334-2

This cream is a LIFE SAVER. I only wash my hair every other week because wash day takes so long and I only have that kind of time on the weekend, and who wants to be stuck doing a twist out EVERY Friday or Saturday night? This product is not only perfect for my initial twist but it’s also excellent at renewing my hair when it starts too get old and crusty.

SUPER LARGE ELASTIC HAIR TIES

These are also everything. I don’t know if I could live without having these for both my puffs and for ponytails when I have in my Marley Twists.

JANE CARTER SOLUTION REVITALIZING LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

This is my go-to when I re-twist my hair at night. I spray little of this blessing in a bottle before I start twisting and I also use it to detangle before I wash my hair.

SPRAY BOTTLE

You all know how handy a spray bottle is so I don’t have to tell you.

AS I AM COCONUT COWASH

This is honestly the only cowash I’ve ever tried and I don’t think I plan on switching up any time soon. My hair always feels super soft after I use it but it still feels very clean and refreshed.

CAMILLE ROSE NATURALS SWEET GINGER ROSE CLEANSING RINSE

I have to thank my friend Tamara for this blessing. This shampoo is definitely clarifying but it isn’t too stripping which is an issue I had with my old shampoo.

$11.99 at Sally Beauty

ARGAN OIL

I use this when I take my twists down. I don’t like manipulating my hair with dry hands, I smooth a little all over my hair while it’s still twisted up and then leave a little on my hands while I take it all down and style.

OLIVE OIL ECOSTYLER GEL

So in honesty I don’t

I actually carry these around everywhere. I have one in my bathroom for when I do my hair and I keep one in my work bag and purse because you never know when you’re going to want to add some volume!

$6.64 at Walmart for a 3 pack
